The Kids Ministry Pastor is responsible for leading the kids ministry at Bethel Church of Atlanta, providing children and parents with a safe and growing environment. This role focuses on training and equipping children during Sunday services while raising up and developing volunteer leaders. Outside of Sunday services, this position leads initiatives that serve families, creating opportunities for connection, fun, and growth in a supportive culture.
Ministry Leadership & Team Development
Lead and develop the kids ministry in alignment with the mission and vision set by the Family Pastor.
Recruit and train team members to execute administrative and ministerial duties.
Meet regularly with team members to share testimonies, pray, and strengthen team synergy.
Provide ongoing support and feedback to volunteers regarding their growth and leadership development.
Equip team members with problem-solving and communication tools for classroom support and parental interaction.
Operations & Administration
Cultivate or create a curriculum for the ministry.
Manage the kids ministry budget, accounts, and resources.
Develop, communicate, and uphold safety policies and protocols in collaboration with the Family Team.
Create and send a monthly newsletter to maintain consistent communication with families regarding updates and changes.
Assist with general church administrative duties and Sunday service operations as needed.
Family & Community Engagement
Welcome and connect with families, providing pastoral support as needed.
Ideate, plan, and execute community events and extracurriculars (e.g., Holiday events, baby dedications, VBS) to foster relationship building.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Experience volunteering in a kids ministry, working with children, and/or leading volunteer teams in a church environment.

We are seeking a highly motivated, creative, and meticulously organized Christian educator to serve as a Guide for a Kindergarten through Second Grade (K-2) combination class within our established hybrid-homeschool program. This unique position requires a dedicated professional to develop and implement engaging, project-based curricula for History, Science, and Social Studies. This educator will also facilitate student engagement with parent-provided curricula in Mathematics and English Language Arts (ELA), necessitating a familiarity with a diverse range of homeschool materials. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in differentiated instruction across multiple grade levels, the ability to collaborate effectively with staff and parents, and an unwavering commitment to cultivating a Christ-centered educational environment. Responsibilities will include providing guidance and support to parents regarding curriculum selection, grade level expectations, and child development milestones (upon parental request). Furthermore, the Guide will be responsible for leading students in Bible lessons, thereby fostering a love for Jesus and the Bible. Finally, the role mandates instructing students in the development of independent learning skills (e.g., organizational practices, planner utilization, collaborative group work, research methodology, etc.).

Curriculum and Instruction
Design, develop, and implement rigorous, age-appropriate, and cohesive project-based curricula for History, Science, and Social Studies for the K-2 combination class.
Differentiate instruction and learning activities to meet the diverse needs, learning styles, and developmental levels of students across Kindergarten, First, and Second grades simultaneously.
Facilitate hands-on, inquiry-based, and collaborative projects that drive student learning and assessment in the specified subject areas.
Provide a safe, engaging, and organized classroom environment conducive to active learning and exploration.
Collaboration and Communication
Work collaboratively and seamlessly with the existing teaching team to ensure consistency and flow across the program's educational philosophy and structure.
Maintain open and consistent communication with parents, providing regular updates on student progress, project goals, and classroom activities in coordination with the hybrid model.
Actively participate in required staff meetings, planning sessions, and professional development opportunities.
Classroom Management and Environment
Establish and maintain clear classroom expectations and routines that promote respect, responsibility, and independence among young learners.
Manage classroom resources effectively, ensuring materials are organized and readily accessible for project work.
Model Christian character and uphold the program's values in all interactions with students, parents, and staff.
Required
Experience or a degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or a related field.
Exceptional creativity in developing and implementing project-based learning (PBL) curricula.
Excellent organizational skills, including curriculum planning, materials management, and record keeping.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively, flexibly, and collaboratively as part of an established team.
Desired
Experience in a hybrid or homeschool partnership educational model.
Teaching certification or equivalent professional credentials.
